ALL SUBMISSIONS MUST BE COMPLETED BY FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 9th TO BE CONSIDERED.

Below are a few of the guidelines for the participants!

WRiters

  • You will write a 5 minute piece (really, no longer than 5 pages!) in no more than 48 hours! Writing may not begin before 7PM Saturday, February 17. It must be a brand, new work - nothing you have written before.
  • Your piece can take any form - a short scene, a monologue, a stand-up routine, a poem or song. Express yourself however you wish, but do keep in mind that these will be read for an audience, with very little movement.
  • You must include the following ingredients in your piece:
    • Pa Ubu 45 (supposedly 6'3", a trim 239 lbs, in "excellent health". And yes, the hair is his and real.)
    • Ma Ubu: strangely catatonic when in Pa Ubu's company.
    • Angry Ambassadors from every country that Pa Ubu has insulted.
    • A strange use of the English language. That is, it sounds like it is supposed to be English. i.e. words for Sh#t are prolonged like pshitte (in French Merdre!! see *covefe below)
    • Covefe
    • A groveling, conniving, servile counselor who believes in conversion therapy for queers and trans & does not spend time in the company of women except his wife.
    • A double-triple-quadruple-octahedral cheeseburger with special sauce. Freedom Fries on the side.
    • A usurpation.
  • Extra Credit Ingredients:
    • Enter a bear.
    • Posters protesting Pa Ubu 45.
    • Posters protesting protesters of Pa Ubu 45.
    • "An unmentionable mop" i.e. a pshit-stick.
  • You will need to be available on Saturday February 17 at 6PM for a brief kick-off meeting and on Monday, February 19 for the event itself.
  • There will be no critiques, only support and encouragement!
